A coastal storm, which kept clouds and showers across Mecklenburg County (white star on the graphic) overnight, is positioned just off the Outer Banks at 8 o'clock this Monday morning:
So far local rain gauges have registered 0.44", 0.01", 0.56", and 0.35" of liquid respectively at Clarksville, Chase City, Boydton, and South Hill. By lunch time today skies will begin clearing as that storm pulls away from the coast. Temperatures will climb into the low 60s this afternoon as north winds gust up to 15 mph.
High pressure will take charge of local conditions later today. The breezes will calm a bit after sunset, turning around out of the northwest. Temperatures will drop into the low 40s by dawn Tuesday under clear skies before rebounding into the mid-60s tomorrow afternoon.
Overall the first week of November looks to be dry, sunny, and mild. That's not always the case, so enjoy!
