Monday morning's lows in the upper 30s and low 40s are more typical of Mecklenburg County conditions in October than recent bouts with the 80s and 90s. Dry air, calmer winds, and clear skies allow the day's warmth to radiate into space during the nighttime hours:
With abundant sunshine temperatures this afternoon will boost back into the mid-60s. Northerly winds will gust up to 20 mph courtesy of a developing nor'easter off the East Coast, but no rain is expected throughout the work week. Clouds from that system may be visible on the eastern horizon, but skies look to remain clear locally.Tuesday's weather will be very similar, albeit with temperatures a few degrees warmer both for morning lows and afternoon highs. Gusty breezes will stick around tomorrow as that nor'easter spins around a couple hundred miles east of the Tidewater region. By Wednesday the winds will begin to calm down as that system moves away.
Enjoy the true autumn weather!
